Come on out and join the pandemonium in the name of a great cause- the fight against Rett Syndrome. The event has moved to the hallowed fairways of Old Orchard Country Club in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Festivities begin at 11am, Friday, August 7, 2009 with a shotgun tee-off start at a prompt 1pm, so be sure to get there early to partake in the pre-tee fun. All are welcome and encouraged to come out and play!
We are proud to announce that, in the last ten years we have raised over $115,000 for Rett Syndrome research. Those monies have been combined with matching funds that have totaled over $250,000 in research grants! Last year we raised $15,0000 in our first year knocking around the little white ball. This year we are hoping to make a $20,000 donation. 100% of our donation goes directly to research and includes funds that make up a grant that supports research at chosen leading institutions. Many of you know the profound difference we can make by contributing. Since we have been involved, great strides have been made in diagnosing and eventually preventing this developmental disorder. This year’s entry to the event includes golf, range balls, lunch, banquet dinner, beer, wine and soft drinks, the infamous Buddha/Sponsor long sleeve logo shirt, goodie bag, prizes, raffle tickets, cheesy trophies, entry into putting contest, “trash-talking” games, and of course, all the cavorting and carousing. Posttournament partygoers are welcome on a reserved basis. There will be plenty of activities for volunteers and spectators during the day.
